Poetry in the Urban Classroom: Using Poetry for Social Justice

Poetry allows students who struggle with expression to thrive as individuals and writers. This session is for teachers who wish to incorporate poetry into their classes. The presenters will discuss their own experiences, student samples, teaching techniques, and the impact of poetry in the urban classroom.
