Assessment: Students will hand in their first 4 journal prompts, worth a quiz grade, and discuss the vignette, The Things They Carried, from Tim O’Brien’s The Things They Carried. Students will be asked to reflect on what they “carry” with them, and how their carried items vary from those of the soldiers.
